What materials are used in Suramya Designs jewellery?
Our Kundan and Polki pieces are handcrafted using traditional techniques. All our jewellery is made with nickel-free and hypoallergenic materials, making them safer for everyday wear and sensitive skin.
Is the jewellery handmade?
Yes. Each piece is handcrafted by skilled artisans, with careful attention to detailing. Minor variations in finish are a natural characteristic of handmade jewellery and add to its uniqueness.
Sensitive Skin
Is your jewellery safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. We use nickel-free and hypoallergenic materials specifically to reduce the risk of skin reactions. If you have known metal allergies or very sensitive skin, we recommend testing a new piece on a small area first.
Can I wear these pieces for extended periods?
Our jewellery is designed for comfort and extended wear. However, we recommend removing pieces before bathing, swimming, or heavy physical activity to preserve both the jewellery and your skin.
Tarnish Prevention & Care
Will the jewellery tarnish?
With proper care, tarnishing can be significantly slowed. The main causes of tarnish are exposure to moisture, humidity, sweat, and chemical products.
How do I prevent tarnishing?
- Keep jewellery dry — remove before washing hands, bathing, or exercising.
- Avoid contact with perfume, deodorant, and alcohol-based products. Apply these before putting on your jewellery.
- Store away from moisture and humidity — avoid bathrooms or humid spaces.
- Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
How do I clean my jewellery?
Wipe gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid water, chemical cleaners, and abrasive materials. For intricate Kundan and Polki settings, do not submerge in water.
Storage
How should I store my jewellery?
Store each piece individually in the muslin pouch provided with your order. Keep pouches in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and humidity. Storing pieces separately prevents scratching and tangling.
Can I store multiple pieces together?
We recommend storing pieces individually to avoid scratching delicate surfaces and gemstone settings. Use the provided muslin pouch for each item.
Shipping
Where do you ship?

How long does delivery take?
Orders are typically dispatched within 2–4 business days. Delivery timelines vary by location — you will receive a tracking number once your order ships.
How is the jewellery packed for shipping?
Each piece is packed securely in a muslin pouch and protective packaging to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We want you to love your purchase. If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order details. We will work to resolve the issue promptly.
Can I exchange a piece?
Exchanges are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us at hello@suramyadesigns.com with your order number and reason for exchange.
Are customized pieces returnable?
Customized or bespoke pieces are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective.
